I first learned of the 2009 Wellcraft Coastal 340 while boat shopping at the May 2008 Tampa Bay Boat Sale in Tampa, FL. My husband had stumbled upon the Wellcraft 252 Fisherman, but I wasn't completely sold. Still holding out for a fishing boat that would accomodate both of our boating styles, my interest perked up when Maximo Marine owner Frank Vander Horst mentioned "a boat for it all."
The problem was, he didn't have a 2009 Wellcraft Coastal 340 boat in stock. He sold one at the March boat show, and he was about to take delivery of another one he sold to a customer who viewed, and liked, the Coastal 340 at the same show. Apparently this boat struck a cord with more than just me, and with my appetite whetted, Frank graciously offered to call us when the 2009 Wellcraft Coastal 340 became available for a tour.
The 2009 Wellcraft Coastal 340 did not disappoint and was well worth the wait. My husband was impressed with the breadth of the fishing ammenities, and I was delighted at the possibility of comfortable fishing excursions, entertaining, and cruising all rolled into one beautiful boat.
