Boating Books Review

Three Books You or Your Family Will Enjoy

By , About.com Guide

Summer is a perfect time to catch up on reading. Here are a few books I recommend that are either about boating, the boating life, or that you can share with your family to pass on a love for boats and boating.

An Embarrassment of Mangoes

If you have ever longed to live a life different from your own among the Caribbean islands, this is a must-read. The author takes us through two years of cruising the islands, from beginning to end. The result is a very eye-opening picture of the cruising life.

The Essential Book of Boat Drinks & Assorted Frozen Concoctions

This is a great little book to have around. Keep it next to the blender, and when friends from two slips down the dock come calling, entertain them in style with a delicious boat drink.

My First Picture Book of Boating Words

This little book is a perfect way to teach small children about boats and subjects common to the water. Your child or grandchild will bring it to you over and over again to look at the pictures and learn about boats.
