Guide Review - The Essential Book of Boat Drinks
In Jimmy Buffett's world, boats and frozen concoctions go together like him and his guitar. If you enjoy boat drinks, you'll like this book.
The Essential Book of Boat Drinks & Assorted Frozen Concoctions is small, portable volume of boat drink recipes. Written by a bartender/writer/sailor, the book contains a large selection of drink recipes. Some are delicious, and others don't quite make the mark, but the drink names and short descriptions alone are worth the cost of the book. If you do buy it, be sure to try the Blue Sky recipe.
And if you don't like alchohol, but still want to enjoy a delicious frozen concoction, no problem. Try a Calypso Poet, Little Miss Magic, or a Naughty Margarita that isn't so naughty.
Please remember, don't drink and go boating. Drinking alcohol while boating is more dangerous than drinking and driving a car. Enjoy a drink dockside, but wait an hour per drink before driving a boat or stepping aboard as a passenger.
