Boat Tips: A New Feature at About.com Powerboating

From Ericka Watson, About.com GuideJune 28, 2010

Who can't use a few boating tips now and then?  I sure could.

That is why I decided to start a new feature here at the Powerboating blog for About.com.  Whether you are a new boater, or you are an old salt, sometimes quick tips come in handy just when you need them.  Maybe you can pick up a new skill, fix something on your boat, learn something previously unknown or hopefully pass on information to other boaters that you learned here.  In any case, I hope that the addition of Boat Tips will improve or otherwise enhance your experience of your boat and the boating lifestyle.

Look for the first tip on June 30 where you will learn the Coast Guard requirements for state lettering.

It would be really helpful if powerboat owners knew a good source for rebuilt marine diesel engines. One would imagine the fishing boats had a place to go to get this information.
The present cost of repowering is overwhelming for most owners.
The second valuable source for gasoline or diesel engines would be the location of the Steyr conversion kits.

Would be nice if the links worked. I’m looking for the add on Gel Coat prep.
