Genmar Returns to Making Aluminum Boats

The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal reports Genmar Holdings, builder of two brands of 2008 J.D. Powers and Associates Best Boats - Ranger and Four Winns, will return to building aluminum boats. They quit building aluminum boats in 2004, but plan to build the new boats "at a newly constructed factory, set to open by early 2010. The factory’s location will be selected by the middle of next year."

Other boats manufactured by Genmar Holdings are: Triumph, Larson and Wellcraft to name a few.
