Well, Tropical Storm Fay was a complete bust for Pinellas and Hillsborough counties in west-central Florida. She came ashore at 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning 140 miles south of me in the Naples area. The St. Petersburg Times reported Fay was "weak and wet."
After working all night to complete a Level-A evacuation, I was strangely peeved at Tropical Storm Fay. I say strange, because I probably should be happy that it turned out to be nothing, and I really am. I just wish I had known that BEFORE I evacuated my home. But, there is a good lesson in this for me: you can never tell with tropical storms and hurricanes. They are completely unpredictable. Fay could just as easily turned into a major hurricane and devastated our area. So, regardless if future storms "look" like they will be a threat, I will still follow the precautions.
What about you? Did Tropical Storm Fay affect you more than it did me? We didn't receive a single drop of rain, but news reports showed many Floridians weren't that lucky. We'd love to hear your experiences with Tropical Storm Fay.

Not worse than you, just under harassment for doing my duty and being prepared,(ok maybe a little overboard) by my partner who said for two days before the ado that it wouldn’t come close. In this case I’m will happily let them boast “I told you so.” LOL
